The Heart and Soul-themed project of the Williamsport community has been a multifaceted project that has raised citizens’ voices to let their representation of the community be heard through various means.
Chosen after a community storytelling process, Dai En lead the design and installation of Lady of Light Mosaic pillars at the entrance of the Pajama Factory on behalf of Factory Works. Found at the corner of Park and Rose Streets, these two pillars represent the history and the spirit of the community. Special thanks to David Stabley for assisting with the installation and to the other seven artists who contributed. Thank you for the help provided as part of the Heart and Soul project by the Heart of Williamsport, the PA Humanities Council, and the PA Council for the Arts. And a big thank you to Mark and Suzanne Winkelman, Pajama Factory owners, for their support of this project.
